AILET (All India Law Entrance Test)

Eligibility

  • All candidates, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and selection shall be solely on that basis. The Foreign National and OCI/PIO Candidates are also required to apply online on the same portal.
  • Have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks. The Eligibility condition for admission of students under the Foreign Nationals category shall be 65% marks in the Higher Secondary School Examination of (10+2) system or an equivalent examination. Candidates appearing/ awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date which will be notified along with the Notification of Entrance Test result and in case such candidate is placed in compartment in the year of the admission, would be treated as ineligible. Foreign National Candidates are exempted from taking the admission test. The other regulations regarding the eligibility for admission will be the same as applicable to the other candidates. The candidates belonging to OCI/PIO category shall have the option to either apply under the Foreign National Category or under the category of Indian students. In case the OCI/PIO candidate apply under the category of Indian National, they have to appear in the All Indian Law Entrance Test along with other students.

Negative marking:There will be Negative Marking in AILET 2020-21. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark.

Other Important Information

  • The selection shall be strictly on the basis of merit as determined by the Entrance Test subject to reservation of 15% for Scheduled Caste candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 5% for Persons with Disability, one additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants and two supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu & Kashmir out of the 70 seats to be filled through Entrance Examination.
  • The unfilled seats reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates shall be assigned to Scheduled Tribes and vice-versa. If sufficient number of eligible SC and ST candidates are not available to fill such seats, they shall be filled by General candidates.
  • If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the Entrance Test, their merit will be determined on the basis of percentage of marks in the Intermediate Examination (10+2) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by the University.
  • If the merit remains the same, then the marks of 10th standard will be taken into consideration. If still there is no change in rank, then the higher in age shall get preference.
  • The unfilled seats under Foreign National Category will be carried over to General Category and filled on Merit. A horizontal reservation of 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible female candidates including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories .
  • Selected candidates shall be arranged in the order of merit in each category. A wait - list shall be prepared for each category, so that in the event of a selected candidate not joining, the candidates in the wait-list could be admitted in the order of merit. Admission process shall be completed latest by the 25th day of July of the year or any other date which may be notified by the University.
  • Candidates who are selected shall be intimated about the selection, immediately by the University through email / post / phone / fax and by posting the result on the website of the University. The candidates will be given stipulated time for getting admission, failing which, the offer of admission stands cancelled.
  • The same procedure shall be followed in the case of wait-listed candidates.
  • The tuition fee and other deposits shall be paid through ECS/Demand Draft obtained in favour of “Registrar, National Law University, Delhi”. If any candidate fails to join after admission to the course, only 75% of the tuition fee paid will be refunded to the candidates. The non-refundable part of the tuition fees shall be utilized towards financial assistance to deserving students who could not pay the tuition fee on account of their economic backwardness, based on the recommendation of a committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.

CLAT Eligibility

Undergraduate

All India Bar Examination (AIBE)

The All India Bar Examination or AIBE is an exam conducted by the Bar Council of India with an objective to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India.

The PU LLB entrance exam is an entrance exam conducted by Panjab University for the admissions of students into five years BA.LLB and three-year LLB courses. ELIGIBILITY

Delhi University will announce the DU LLB entrance exam 2021 eligibility criteria along with the exam notification.DU LLB 2021 Eligibility Criteriamentions the minimum academic qualifications and age bar required to appear in DU LLB 2021. Candidates appearing in DU LLB 2021 need to qualify for their graduation degree with at least 50% marks.   • Candidates whose results of qualifying exams have not been announced yet can also appear for DU LLB. But their marks should lie in the eligibility criteria once the result gets declared.

DU(Delhi University)LLB 2021 Exam Pattern

The University of Delhi announces the DU LLB 2021 entrance exam pattern on the official website. With the help of theDU LLB 2021 Exam Pattern, candidates will get an idea of the total marks, important subjects, syllabus, marking scheme, duration of the exam, and distribution of marks in the DU LLB 2021 paper. Candidates will be asked questions from English Language and Comprehension, Analytical Abilities, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, and Legal Awareness and Aptitude as per the DU LLB exam pattern 2021. There will be a total of 100 questions of 400 marks divided into different subjects.

  • Exam Pattern: The exam will consist of 100 questions to be answered within 120 minutes. The exam is an objective type with multiple-choice questions.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will receive 4 marks for every correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

PU(PANJAB UNIVERSITY) LL.M Entrance Exam-2021

  • Eligibility Conditions and Scheme of Test Master of Laws (L.L.M. One-Year Course and L.L.M. Two Year Course) Eligibility Conditions
  • A person who has passed one of the following examinations shall be eligible after qualifying the entrance test to join the first semester class of the LL.M. Course:-
  • (a) LL.B. 3 Year Degree/ B.A. LL.B. / B.Com. LL.B. 5 Year degree examination of this University with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates); OR
  • (b) Any equivalent examination of another University recognized by the Syndicate for this purpose.
  • Scheme of Test The duration of the Entrance Test will be of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • The Entrance Test will be of 100marks.
  • The questions will be based upon following four components:
  • Constitution Law, Administrative Law, Service Law, Environmental Law and Human Rights. 50 MCQ (1 Mark Each)
  • Indian Penal Code (IPC), Cr. Pr. Code and Law of Evidence 15 MCQ (1 Mark Each)
  • Jurisprudence 10 MCQ (1 Mark Each)
  • Family Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Public International Law, Labour Laws and Company Law. 25 MCQ (1 Mark Each)
